I will learn on July 7 whether my funding for a new A/C is accepted. This should have been worked out by early June.

That’s what I said last week. Well, as I write these words (July 8) there’s still no movement.

I have to send a reminder to my finance manager again. Otherwise, I’ll spend the summer catatonic.

There’s a genre spin-off to hardboiled crime that’s popular called noir. It’s my topic this issue.

I need that A/C, stat! Between Substack’s changes to adding URLs and my computer overheating, this issue took more time than required..

UPDATE I now have the go-ahead to get my A/C. Hope they aren’t sold out.
