Cool Detectives#52
I never forget auld acquaintances! Who are you again?
Welcome, new readers, and welcome back, returning ones!
OK, my sub-heading is a “dad joke”, but it’s an easy one for this time of year.
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. I make goals. They aren’t as easy to quit.
I’ll continue my theme of games
Detectives and related
Gangbusters, from Wikipedia
TSR, Inc. (the company behind the original Dungeons and Dragons tried many other properties. Most of them didn’t catch on. This was one of them. Out of print.
Savage Worlds, from Pinnacle Games
This one is in print. Very customizable, someone could easily create a hardboiled crime campaign or a Noir one-shot for it. Not me. My plate is full.
This time, I’ll feature Nubya Garcia. She’s a saxophonist and composer.
She has a personal site, but all it offers is a sales list for one album.
Nubya Garcia, from All About Jazz
Saxophonist Nubya Garcia writes her own Odyssey, string section and all, from NPR
Nyuba Garcia, from YouTube channels
A perfect place to discover her music. Deja vu,, but still true.
See you next week. - I hope. Scheduling here cost me last week. I’m trying to get back to my best.
Have any hardboiled crime stuff you’d like me to share, or a jazz performer to discover? Tell me in the comments, or reply to this in email.
Do you have any artists you’d like me to cover? Tell me here
Share this issue around. More shamuses and cats may join us from it.

Was "Gangbusters" based on the old radio show? (As in "Coming on like...").
